AUDITION NEWS:  Ovation West Theatre Company announces auditions for ADULT ACTORS (18 and older) for MAN OF LA MANCHA

Please prepare a 32 bar musical selection in the style of the show. We are not requesting a monologue, but encourage you to use your song to showcase your acting ability!


*Some roles will be doubled to accommodate a cast of 15-20 actors.

DON QUIXOTE/MIGUEL DE CERVANTES/ALONSO QUIJANA – male presenting, 40s-60s. A tax collector/storyteller/knight. He is enthusiastic and optimistic.

SANCHO – male presenting, 30s-60s. Loveable, loyal servant to Alonso Quijana/Don Quixote.

ALDONZA – female presenting, 20s-50s. A serving woman at the Inn. Love interest of Don Quixote. **please note: this character’s story involves a scene including a sexual assault. This will be staged with an Intimacy Director.

THE INNKEEPER/THE GOVERNOR – male presenting, 30s-60s. A leader among the prisoners.

THE PADRE – male presenting, 30s-60s. Don Quixote’s Family Confessor.

DR. CARRASCO/THE DUKE- male presenting, 30s-60s. Antonia’s fiance and sidekick to The Governor.

ANTONIA – female presenting, 20s-30s. Quixote’s niece and Dr. Carrasco’s fiancée.

THE BARBER – male presenting, any age.

THE HOUSEKEEPER – female presenting, any age.

STIPEND:  Up to $350 for lead/supporting roles, commensurate with role responsibilities

Auditions Dates: Auditions will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, 5:00pm – 10:00 pm at Center Stage, 27608 Fireweed Dr., Evergreen CO, 80439.

Callbacks will be held at the same location on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, 6:00 – 10:00 pm.

Rehearsal and Show Information: Rehearsals will take place mainly at Center Stage in Evergreen from July 22 – September 12 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings. Saturday mornings and afternoons may be added as we get closer to opening weekend. Please note that you may not be needed for every Friday rehearsal.

Performances are September 13th – September 29th on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 and Sundays at 2:30, and an Industry Night performance TBD.
