The Evergreen Chorale presents the Illuminare Workshop with Elaine Hagenberg on Saturday, November 12.
Elaine Hagenberg’s music “soars with eloquence and ingenuity” (ACDA Choral Journal). Her award-winning compositions are performed worldwide and frequently featured at American Choral Directors Association conferences, All-State festivals, Carnegie Hall, and other distinguished international concert halls from Australia to South America and throughout Europe. In addition to composing full-time, Elaine actively engages in bringing her music to life as the guest artist and featured clinician for professional conferences.
During the first half of the workshop, participating choirs will each present one or two of Elaine’s compositions and received feedback from her about performance and interpretation. During the second half of the workshop, the Evergreen Chorale and choirs from CCU will jointly be performing Elaine’s large work “Illuminare” accompanied by members of the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra. Elaine will speak about each movement and offer assistance and insight into performance and interpretation.
