Health & Safety

Our Commitment to the Health & Safety of Our Community

Updated September 2021

Center Stage and Ovation West Performing Arts now requires all patrons, performers, and volunteers of eligible age (12 and older) to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Proof of full vaccination is required to participate in our activities and programs.

Fully vaccinated means that an individual has completed their first and second shot 14 days prior to the event.

Exemptions (Only for Center Stage Performances):  Individuals who are pre-approved for an exemption must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time and be masked at all times.

The theater is currently at full seating capacity. Performers will not be masked during the show.

We are aligning our policies with the larger theater community and in accordance with Jefferson County: everyone is strongly encouraged to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status. This measure is for the safety of our visitors, community, cast, crew, staff, and volunteers.

Please make sure everyone in your party knows and agrees to our policies.

Why should I wear a mask?

The CDC now strongly recommends wearing a mask inside in all public places in high-risk areas of transmission for the Delta Variant, Jefferson County is in the high-risk zone. Our goal is to keep providing outstanding music, musical theatre and programs for all and we need everyone’s help to stay in person and open. We want to continue to be a place of cultural richness, learning and community.

What if I’m not vaccinated or have a medical/religious exemption?

We are accepting requests for medical and religious accommodations only. Those wishing to be considered for an exemption must email for documentation requirements before tickets are purchased. All those qualifying for an exemption must provide proof of a negative COVID -19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time and be masked at all times. We reserve the right to turn away anyone that does not comply with these policies.

If you are not vaccinated and have purchased tickets, we are happy to issue a full refund upon request.

What if I don’t feel well or had a known exposure?

Please stay home for your own health and others. We are happy to exchange your tickets or issue a refund.

Will there be food and drinks available?

There will be food and drinks available for consumption in the lobby or outdoors only. We will not be permitting these items in the theater.

What is Ovation West doing to keep me safe?

Our staff, cast & crew of eligible age are all fully vaccinated. We are asking for proof of vaccination when patrons enter.

Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the building.

We have enhanced our cleaning protocols, keeping airflow going throughout the building, installed a UV sanitation system into our HVAC and upgraded our air filters.

We will be sending reminder emails with further instructions and information.
