Kayleigh Bernier (Dorothy)

Kayleigh Bernier is thrilled to make her Ovation West Theatre Company Debut. Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Kayleigh has taken the stage in numerous Las Vegas Hotels, the PACE Center, Town Hall Arts Center, Lakewood Cultural Center, as well as the White House. Her favorite credits include Woman 2 in Putting it Together (Town Hall Arts Center), Laurey in Oklahoma! (Lakewood Cultural Center), Sister Mary Leo in Nunsense (Inspire Theatre Company), Debbie in The Wedding Singer (Town Hall Arts Center), as well as featured roles in Memphis (Town Hall Arts Center) and 9 to 5 the Musical (PACE, Inspire Theatre Company). She would like to thank her family for their unwavering love and support. She can’t wait for you to join her on this journey “Over the Rainbow” and explore the magic that awaits along the Yellow Brick Road.

 

Tracy Denver (Aunt Em/Glinda)

This is Tracy’s fourth show at Center Stage and she is thrilled to return, this time as Glinda, the Witch of the North! Tracy was last seen as Margie in the World Premiere of Eigg, a show that went to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Favorite credits include: Morticia (The Addams Family), Tanya (Mamma Mia), Susan (tick…tick…BOOM!), Sarah (Company), and Jeannie (The Great American Trailer Park). This show is made particularly special as it is the first time she gets to share the stage with her daughter, Raelyn, who you will see in Munchkinland! Love to her husband Rorke and her other daughter Reeve for sitting in the audience, smiling, and supporting every show. Tracy would like to dedicate her performances throughout the run in memory of her mom, Linda Myers, who is over the rainbow and who truly lived the phrase, ‘There’s no place like home.’

Stephen Krock (Hunk/Scarecrow)

Stephen is beyond excited to make his stage debut in Colorado with Ovation West after recently moving across the country to be with his loving partner, Ryan. He has performed on many stages in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. Previous roles include: Jimmy Ray (Bright Star), Pippin (Pippin), Seymour (Little Shop of Horrors), Tobias (Sweeney Todd).

Ryan Glaser (Uncle Henry/Guard)

Ryan is excited to be making his (on stage) debut with Ovation West Theatre Company and this incredible cast and crew in the Wizard of Oz. He was last seen as Mabelu in Evergreen Players production of The Old Man and the Old Moon. You may not have seen him in Nevermore (Evergreen Players), Into the Woods (Ovation West), and Fiddler on the Roof (Ovation West) doing whatever production tasks he could get his hands on. Ryan is proud to be a founding member of The Third Side Theatre Company. Endless thanks to Katrina for pushing him to audition; Mom, Dad, and Adam for their constant help building and painting. And thank YOU for supporting local theatre! We made it!

Trish Maggio (Professor Marvel/The Wizard)

Trish has been a professional stage actor since 1976 in both Colorado and Florida. This is her debut with Ovation West Performing Arts, and she’s glad to be here! Favorite roles include: Nelly in South Pacific, Agnes in I Do, I Do!, Laurey in Oklahoma!, Guinevere in Camelot, Mama Rose in Gypsy, Annie in Annie Get Your Gun, Maria in The Sound of Music, and Molly in The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Trish is tickled to be back in Colorado near her dear family and theatre buddies!

Wilson Hettinger (Hickory/Tinman)

Wilson (He/Him) is so excited to be making his Ovation West Debut! Wilson holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Some of his favorite roles include Pippin (Pippin), The Baker (Into the Woods), and Silvio (Servant of Two Masters). He is ever grateful for Tim, Jordan, Colleen and the whole entire Ovation Community for this opportunity. He would like to thank his family, his friends, Carrie Colton, Jeff Parker, and most of all his wonderful students for their constant support and love. Anna Piper (Zeke/Cowardly Lion)

Anna Piper, 25, is thrilled to join Ovation West again for another magnificent show!
In school, Anna majored in Music Theatre and currently works as a professional music theatre and opera performer through Colorado. Previous roles include: Cinderella in Into the Woods (Ovation West), Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof (Ovation West), U/S Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte (Loveland Opera Theatre), and Jean MacLaren in Brigadoon (Loveland Opera Theatre). She has also performed with the Honors Choir at Carnegie Hall, as well as with the Rodgers and Hammerstein Jubilee and the Broadway Classics Concert with Loveland Opera Theatre. She also sings with Opera on Tap Colorado when her schedule allows.
When she isn’t performing, she loves to ride her two horses, read comics, play video games, and draw.
She thanks all who have supported her on her journey, most importantly her family & friends, who help her believe in herself when it feels hard to. Soli Deo Gloria.

Tim Kennedy (Director)

Timothy Kennedy is thrilled to be directing for Ovation West again after having helmed the productions

of Funny Girl, Hunchback of Notre Dame, My Fair Lady, Chicago, and Kiss Me Kate. As a Colorado-based

Stage Director, Choral Conductor, Music Director, Performer, Playwright and Teaching Artist, Kennedy

had directed on the stages of Candlelight, Southern Colorado Repertory Theatre, Evergreen Players, and

Loveland Opera in Colorado as well as Pensacola Opera, Loveland Opera, New Opera Festival di Roma,

Louisiana State University, and University of West Florida. As a performer, he has been seen on the

stages and in the concert halls of the Colorado Symphony, Candlelight, Southern Colorado Repertory

Theater, Vintage Theater, Town Hall Arts Center, Performance Now, Equinox Theater, Amarillo

Symphony, Graz Music Festival, Linz Choral Festival, Shreveport Summer Music Festival, Pensacola

Opera, Natchez Opera, and Mobile Opera.

Alexandra Brown (Nikko & Adult Munchkin/Ensemble)

Alexandra Rose Brown is excited to be performing again with Ovation West! She was previously seen as a Nymph in their production of “Into the Woods.” Other credits include Adolfo Pirelli in “Sweeney Todd” (Unitiive Theatre), Cheryl Ann in “Catch Me if You Can” (Unitiive Theatre), Dancer in “Brigadoon” (LOT), Millicent/Laurie in “Stage Kiss” (Stage Door Theatre), Maud in “Funny Girl” (Ovation West), Hunyak in “Chicago” (Ovation West) and Princess Samaris in “Kismet” (LOT). Alexandra would love to thank her family and friends for their love and support! And don’t forget to Follow the Yellow Brick Road!

Raelyn Denver (Performing Swing Munchkin)

Raelyn is thrilled to be cast in her first professional production and to appear in the land of Oz as part of the children’s ensemble!  You can also find her on stage performing as the character ‘Crutchie’ in the musical, “Newsies” with Rocky Mountain Youth Musicals.  She is excited for the opportunity to learn two shows at the same time, as she loves all things theatre.  This is Raelyn’s first trip down the yellow brick road and she hopes to see you during the run of the show!

 

David Cameron (Winkie General/Adult Ensemble)

David is delighted to be on stage again for the first time in over two years, and more so with such a gifted group of artists both on stage and off. Previous roles include Motel Kamzoil in “Fiddler on the Roof,” Eddie Ryan in “Funny Girl,” Benny Southstreet in “Guys and Dolls,” and Peter in “Company.” He sends all his gratitude and love to the Evergreen community for its continued support of the wonderful organization that is Ovation West.

Mandy Newkirk (Toto Puppeteer Understudy, Coroner/Adult Munchkin & Ensemble)

Mandy Newkirk is delighted to be part of Ovation West’s The Wizard of Oz! Mandy is an Evergreen native with a theatre background of 15+ years, with favorite roles including Winifred Banks in “Mary Poppins,” The Witch in “Into the Woods,” Princess Fiona in “Shrek, the Musical,” and Beth in “Little Women, the Musical.” She and her fellow cast won the Bobby G Outstanding Musical Award for “Pippin” in 2017. At age 10, she played the role of Dorothy in “Oz” under the direction of the Evergreen Chorale’s Christine Gaudreau, and she is thrilled to revisit this whimsical land once again! Mandy studied Music and English at Colorado Christian University and recently returned from a year of work at Walt Disney World. She loves her current work with infant through preschool-aged children! She also works her family’s cattle ranch. Mandy hopes one day to break into the worlds of voice acting and video game writing. She thanks you for your support of local theatre!

Paige Lindquist (Adult Ensemble)

Paige Lindquist is making her debut with Ovation West Theatre Company and is happy to be back on stage in Colorado. Paige grew up singing with Opera Colorado and The Colorado Children’s Chorale before moving to New York City where she performed and worked at the Streb Extreme Action Company and Gallery Players. She has performed at the Streb Lab for Action Mechanics, Dixon Place, Symphony Space and more. Training: BFA; Elon University. Enjoy the show!

Gabrielle Knopp (Hunk/Scarecrow Understudy, Mayor/Adult Munchkin & Ensemble)

Gabby is so excited to be a part of her first show with Ovation West! After being too busy for theatre in college, she has recently gotten back into performing and is thrilled to have this opportunity. You may have seen her as Julia in ‘The Wedding Singer’ with Front Range Theatre Company in Parker this past winter. By day, Gabby works as a medical assistant and hopes to soon be starting physician assistant school to become a provider. She would like to thank her amazing family for all of their support, and her boyfriend Collin for being the most incredible partner she could ask for. She also would like to thank everyone who drove out to Evergreen to see the show, and hopes they enjoy traveling with us to the Merry Old Land of Oz!

Kim Lancaster (Almira Gulch/Wicked Witch Understudy, Professor/Wizard Understudy, Adult Ensemble)

Kim Lancaster is thrilled to be joining the Ovation West family for The Wizard of Oz! Some of her favorite past roles include Marmee in “Little Women,” Morticia Addams in “The Addams Family,” Kate in “Kiss Me, Kate,” Titania in Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” Lady Bracknell in “The Importance of Being Earnest,” and Nettie Fowler in “Carousel.”  Kim lives in Erie with her partner, her son, her partner’s two kids, her sweet old cat, and the cutest junkyard dog you ever saw. In the daylight hours, Kim is a K-12 school principal and a private flute and voice instructor.

Lydia Padron (Tot Munchkin/Children’s Ensemble)

Living with Lydia is like being on the set of “High School Musical: The Musical The Series.” But, in this version, she gets to play all of the parts: dancer, singer, and costume designer. Lydia has been gracing the stage since third grade. Since then, she’s been Rosie in “Mama Mia,” Bonnie in “Come from Away,” a lead rat in “Rats, The Musical,” Timon in “The Lion King,” the chief ancestor in “Moana,” and Mirabel in “Encanto.” Lydia is thrilled to be a part of this production.

Vince Padron (Adult Ensemble)

Vincent shares a name with Van Gogh and a birthday with Picasso. He’s bound for greatness to say the least. Vincent found a home on the stage in fifth grade when he played the herald in “Cinderella.” Since then, he’s been cast as Knight 1, Pig 1 and Tree 1 in “Shrek: The Musical,” Bruno in “Encanto,” and he had a breakout performance as Connor Murphy (“Dear Evan Hanson”) at a local talent show. He’s also took the stage as a stoic and strong Mufasa in “The Lion King” and a dancing Willard in “Footloose.” You can find Vincent performing with an improv troupe or playing Dungeons and Dragons around town.

Savannah Poor (Dorothy Understudy & Adult Ensemble)

Savannah is thrilled to be in her first show with Ovation West! Originally from Texas, she is new to Colorado and has been loving every minute of it. You can normally see her working at an iconic Colorado landmark that happens to have a large pink tower and unlimited sopapillas.

Olivia Thomas (Tot Munchkin/Children’s Ensemble)

Olivia Thomas is 11 years old. She likes skiing, playing soccer, and acting!

 

Alexandra Hagar (Tough Munchkin/Children’s Ensemble)

Alex is passionate about performing and has been participating in musical theater for the last six years. She is a seventh grader at Evergreen Middle School and plays the violin (3 years) and piano (7 years). Her recent credits include Hortensia in “Matilda” (Littleton Town Hall Arts Center) and Jane Banks in “Mary Poppins” (Lake Performing Arts Camp.) In her spare time, she enjoys creative writing, art, seeing friends, and of course, watching Broadway musicals. Alex would like to thank Ovation West for this opportunity. She is grateful for all of the support from her teachers, mentors, family and friends!

 

Emmalyn Garces (Tot Munchkin/Children’s Ensemble)

Emmalyn Garces is a fifth grader at a Performing Arts School. This is her seventh production (and counting). She most recently was seen playing the role of Lavender in Roald Dahl’s “Matilda” (Town Hall Arts Center). She is excited and thankful to be a part of the Ovation West theatre community.

Victoria Garces (Tough Munchkin/Children’s Ensemble)

Victoria Garces is a freshman in high school. She has been a part of 19 productions so far with some of her favorite stage credits as Ms. Honey in “Matilda Jr.” (Sasquatch Productions) and Winifred Banks in “Mary Poppins Jr.” (Parker Performing Arts School). She is honored and thankful to be a part of the Ovation West family.

Carole Callaghan (Adult Ensemble)

Carole recently got back into acting after a thirty-year hiatus. In the fall of 2023, Carole played the roles of Granny and the Giantess in Ovation West Theatre Company’s production of “Into the Woods,” and she is beyond thrilled to be in another OWPA production.  In addition, Carole is a member of the Evergreen Chorale, and serves as the President of Ovation West Performing Arts. 

Ellie Miera (Tough Munchkin/Children’s Ensemble)

Ellianna (Ellie) is thrilled to be joining Ovation West for her first time in this production of The Wizard of Oz! A sixth grader at Parker Performing Arts, Ellie’s love for theater blossomed early in the first grade, with her first role as Molly in “Annie Kids.” She has since enjoyed many roles- including as the barrister munchkin in “The Wizard of Oz” and Lavender in “Matilda Jr.” with Sasquatch Productions at Parker Arts, a swing in “Matilda” (Town Hall Arts Center), and Jane in “Mary Poppins” as well as Alice in “Matilda Jr.” at Parker Performing Arts and many more. Ellie would like to thank God for her talents and passion, her Mom and sister for their unending support, Ovation West for this opportunity, and her friends and extended family for always showing up to support her.

Laurie Atkinson (Adult Ensemble)

Laurie has been a member of the Evergreen Chorale and Ovation West for over 30 years and is still having a blast. Some of her favorite places are on the summit of the Colorado peaks, winding through the trees on the ski slopes, and performing at Center Stage in Evergreen.

 

Ruth Hund (Adult Ensemble)

Ruth is thrilled to be in the ensemble of “The Wizard of Oz”!  This is her second musical theatre appearance as an adult. She is a member of Ovation West’s Evergreen Chorale and chamber choir, Altezza. Ruth is an environmental activist and sprint triathlete. She enjoys hiking, reading, and learning French and Spanish.

Jordan Ortman (Music Director)

Jordan Ortman is making his debut with Ovation West Theater. Recent credits: “Cinderella,” “Beauty and the Beast” (Henry Award best Music Direction), “Elf,” “A Christmas Carol,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” (Arvada Center), “Footloose,” “Bright Star” (MSU Denver), “White Christmas,” “Wicked” (DCPA Broadway tour), “Manon” (Boulder Opera), “Pirates of Penzance” (forthcoming), “A Grand Night For Singing,” “1776” (Performance Now), “Beauty and the Beast,” “A Chorus Line,” “Newsies” (Inspire). 2017-2018 Artist in Residence Coach and Pianist at Opera Colorado. Faculty memberat Metropolitan State University of Denver and Colorado School of Mines.

 

Colleen Lee (Assistant Director)

Colleen Lee is an actor, photographer, and youth performing arts educator. As a youth theater director/teacher she is proud to work with young people at the Arvada Center for the Performing Arts, Miners Alley Performing Arts Center, and Mountain Youth Musicals. Recent acting credits include: Miners Alley Performing Arts Center (A Christmas Story, Moon Over Buffalo (swing), The Crucible), Town Hall Arts Center (Memphis), and Benchmark Theater (An Octoroon, Meteor Shower). Colleen would like to thank director Tim Kennedy (for being wonderful and insightful and always pushing her to try new things), Patrick and Stella and Alice (for everything), and Anna Piper (for making the fantastic cow, hourglass, and bear shadow puppets).

Kevin Atkinson

Born and raised in the mountains of Evergreen, Kevin is excited to be returning to Center Stage for The Wizard of Oz. He has been seen in four productions in the past with Ovation West, including the captivating “Fiddler on The Roof” in the Fall of 2021. Beyond the stage, Kevin channels his creativity volunteering as a video director at his church – and by day, he works in the financial world as a credit analyst at FirstBank.
