Two choral works first heard over 200 years apart comprise the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra tremendous Season Finale. Geistliche Chormusik, published in 1648, is a setting of German texts and choral music by Heinrich Schütz. Brahms’s German Requiem, which debuted on Good Friday in 1868, is a beloved masterpiece revered as one of classical music’s most significant choral works. Dr. J. Arturo González collaborates with Evergreen Chorale, chorus master Christine Gaudreau, baritone Steven Taylor, and soprano Kirsten Carpenter Ortman for this exceptional concert.

The concert takes place at the Green Center at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden.
