“I’ll Be Home For Christmas” Benefit Concert Series

Our Director of Outreach and Education, Dr. Stefanie Anduri, and our Executive Director, Dr. Graham Anduri are giving benefit concerts for music education this Holiday season. Along with pianist David Reid, the two singers will be performing a diverse program of Christmas favorites, as well as some forgotten gems that you may not have heard before!

Both concerts are completely free to attend and open to the general public. Donations to support music education initiatives in the state of Colorado will be graciously accepted!

There are two chances to catch this concert – Thursday, December 21st at 6:30 pm at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church at 1401 E Dry Creek Rd in Littleton. The majority of proceeds from this concert will go to the Denver Children’s Choir to support their mission of INSPIRING, UNITING, AND EDUCATING CHILDREN FROM DIVERSE CULTURAL BACKGROUNDS BY FOSTERING HARMONY IN MUSIC, COMMUNITY, AND LIFE.

The second concert will be at Valmont Community Presbyterian Church at 3262 61st St, Boulder at 6:30 pm on Friday, December 22nd. The majority of proceeds from this concert will benefit Boulder Muse, whose vision is that ALL students, regardless of socioeconomic status, have access to individualized, high quality music education.

A portion of the proceeds from both concerts will benefit Ovation West’s growing Education and Outreach activities, allowing us to bring transformative performing arts experiences to at-risk populations who lack access to music education and live performances.

If you are unable to make it to one of these performances but would still like to support these organizations and their missions, you can make a donation through our Colorado Gives page and designate the gift for Education and Outreach, and we will make sure that the funds are allocated to each organization.

Boulder MUSE is a free music education program designed for under-resourced K-8 students in Boulder County. Our fundamental philosophy is that all children should be able to study music regardless of their financial circumstances.  The study of music, both instrumental and choral, enhances brain development, fostering intellectual and emotional growth. The majority of MUSE students are emerging bilinguals whose literacy is benefited by music education. MUSE’s education instills self-esteem, discipline, responsibility and respect for self and others.

DENVER CHILDREN’S CHOIR provides in-school and after-school choral programs in select schools and community-based settings throughout Denver to children ages 7-18 of diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds with opportunities for singers to perform at local schools, in concert halls, for organizations, and at cultural events each season.

Ovation West Education and Outreach programs seek to bring the magic of the performing arts to the broader community by providing experiential learning opportunities such as community singing classes and our ever-popular Summer Musical Theatre Camp, as well as educational outreach performances to schools and other community organizations for at-risk populations. We also offer a variety of choral and theatrical internships to high school and college students who want to be involved in high-level performing arts productions.

As fierce advocates for the performing arts, we maintain that arts education is of vital importance to the health of our society and endeavor to support and augment the arts programs at regional schools by donating our time, talent, and a portion of our ticket proceeds to these programs.
